On November 9th, The Daily Transcript highlighted COO and Co-Founder, Alfredo Jaime, as a top construction and design leader in San Diego County.
Alfredo Jaime was recognized at San Diego Magazine’s Latino Impact Awards as Entrepreneur of the Year on October 19th. The Latino Impact Awards honor distinguished leaders who make a difference in our community.
Our client, Music Box, was the recipient of the Calibre Design Awards, which celebrates design and recognizes the excellent work of project teams that have exceeded the expectations of our profession, bringing design to life.
In conjunction with a remodel of Prospect Street Plaza, Jaime Partners helped The Hake Restaurant go from 3,456-square-feet to 5,400-square-feet. The enlarged space includes a new private room and bigger outdoor patio. The larger dining room also features panoramic views of La Jolla Cove. Jaime Partners managed the permitting process in conjunction with a remodel of the plaza in which it is located. This collaboration project required coordination of construction with the GC that was building the landlord’s scope (remodel of retail center) and the extension/remodel of the restaurant bar with a bi-national design team.
Jaime Partners was an integral part of the Craft & Commerce project, which was a complete overhaul of the restaurant, including a refresh of the interior design, an expanded outdoor patio with custom fire pit tables, a complete kitchen remodel and an expansion to include an additional 1,000 sq ft tiki bar – False Idol. In addition, the project required the installation of a new three-story steel type one build construction for back of house support. Craft and Commerce is located at the base of a residential luxury high-rise causing additional coordination of project scheduling to limit any disturbances to the residents of the building. Due to our relationship with the landlord of the building, we were able to coordinate all tasks and stay on schedule.
Jaime Partners collaborated with renowned BNIM architects to build their offices in downtown San Diego. The challenge on this project was the coordination with the landlord and the HOA of the condominium units above. Jaime Partners coordinated all the work with minimum disruption to the condo owners.
Sky Free Shop is a retail store selling high-end duty-free products to travelers from the United States and Mexico. Jaime Partners was approached to work on this project, when the client’s designs were rejected a week before construction was scheduled to begin. Jaime Partners was able to have new design plans drawn up and approved by the city in only five days and completed the final project inspections in the seven weeks following. This project included a multi-disciplinary effort between companies based in Spain, Brazil and Florida.
Jaime Partners worked on this design-build turnkey project with the client and architect to deliver a high-end chef’s table within the existing kitchen area of the hotel. Coordination challenges were considerable since the work required that the existing kitchen remained in operation during the construction process.
